Avery Starnes
My name is Avery Starnes and I’m a personal trainer/coach here at Jet Fitness.
I grew up right down the road in Sherrills Ford, and I’ve always been a passionate and
dedicated person who believes that fitness is about so much more than just physical strength —
it’s about building confidence, resilience, and a healthy mindset. I earned my Bachelor’s degree
in Exercise Science from the University of South Carolina, where I developed a deep
understanding of human movement, exercise physiology, and injury prevention.
I am certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and bring a strong
background in both personal training and sport performance coaching. I have worked with
clients of all ages and fitness levels — from youth athletes to adults looking to improve their
strength, endurance, and overall well-being. My experience includes designing individualized
training programs, teaching proper technique, and helping clients reach goals they once thought
were out of reach.
Growing up as a competitive gymnast,diver, and later coaching athletes myself, my love for the
gym comes from seeing how movement can transform people both physically and mentally. My
motivation stems from helping others discover what their bodies are capable of and watching
them grow stronger and more confident every session.
Whether I’m training someone to enhance athletic performance, improve balance and mobility,
or simply feel better in their everyday life, I bring energy, encouragement, and a genuine
commitment to my clients’ success.

Genevieve Glaser
Hi everyone, I’m Genevieve. I was born in Florida but moved to Mooresville in 2004. My interest in fitness started at a young age, I played just about every sport in the book and loved them all. Except maybe soccer – in the blazing Florida sun, itchy shin guards, and of course the heat, not my favorite, but that didn’t stifle my love of all things fitness!
As I got older my interest developed into a passion. Since then I have been dedicated to understanding the most effective and efficient ways to help others transform through fitness.
I believe fitness should be balanced with a person’s lifestyle to remain sustainable. For me, a healthy lifestyle is so much more than just lifting weights. It’s about stretching, warming up, eating healthy, taking time for self-care, and getting enough sleep. I value mental and physical health and wellness.
I care deeply about my clients, and there’s no better feeling to me than helping somebody go through an experience that makes them happy, confident, and strong. I approach programming in the most simple and realistic way possible to ensure a person’s fitness journey is not a fad but a long-term transformation that will inevitably lead to a happier & healthier life that will minimize the risk of future health-related issues.

Caleb Decosta Mathis
My name is Caleb Decosta Mathis and I am a personal trainer here at Jet Fitness.
With seven years of experience in coaching and personal training, I am passionate about helping individuals of all ages build strength, confidence, and a deeper understanding of fitness. I earned my degree in Exercise Science from the University of North Carolina Wilmington, where I also competed in track and field, specializing in the decathlon, high hurdles, and long/triple jump.
I hold certifications in Personal Training, Nutrition, and Corrective Exercise through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. My background includes strength training, and sports performance, working with a diverse range of clients—from young athletes to older adults—helping them move better, prevent injuries, and achieve their personal health goals.
Whether you’re looking to improve athletic performance, maintain mobility and strength as you age, or simply feel better in your everyday life, I’m here to support and guide you. My goal is to break down barriers, eliminate misinformation about training, and create a welcoming environment where everyone can grow stronger—physically and mentally.

Nick Saragoni
I realized about 5 years ago that I needed to make a healthier change to my life so I hired a personal trainer to help me. Ever since, I’ve been addicted to fitness and learned a lot about how to utilize exercise and nutrition to not only change your body physically, but to feel better about your overall lifestyle. I figured if I could do it, anyone could, so I decided to help teach people what it takes.
